This blueberry lemon drop martini is as pretty as it is delicious! It's refreshing on a hot summer day and is so easy to make. You only need a few simple ingredients and you'll be ready to party! I really enjoy this drink because it only takes a couple minutes to make and I always feel so fancy when I'm sipping on it (even though I'll be on the couch in my PJ's). Blueberry lemon drop martinis are slightly tart with lemonade like sweetness. Blueberry and lemon is such a fun combination of flavors so I knew added them to a cocktail would be delicious!

Just look at that beautiful color!

To Make Blueberry Lemon Drop Martinis

Start off by muddling the blueberries in a cocktail shaker, or a jar with a lid. Squish until there are no large pieces of blueberries. Next, add in the freshly squeezed lemon juice, homemade simple syrup, vodka and 4-5 ice cubes. Put the lid on tight and shake until the glass/shaker turns cold. Pour into a martini glass and garnish with a lemon twist if desired. Enjoy!

tips & tricks

Cocktails don't have to be hard to make. It may seem like you need a bunch of fancy equipment, however you can make do with what you already have in your kitchen. Use a wooden spoon to muddle/squish the blueberries. I use to always do this until Kyle recently got me a muddler. Additionally, you don't need a fancy cocktail shaker to make a cocktail. You just need a jar with a lid so you can shake your drink! Finally, make sure to use freshly squeezed lemon juice, not the fake stuff from the bottle. It definitely won't taste as good if you use juice from the bottle. I would recommend buying 1 lemon for each serving. So if you're planning on making 4 cocktails, buy 4 lemons!
