I bet you already have the ingredients in your fridge to make this easy homemade dip! If you're a spice lover like me, you'll also love my white bean buffalo hummus. Both of these appetizers are great for parties, especially the Super Bowl!

This creamy sriracha dip is perfect to make as a last-minute appetizer for a party! Serve it with fresh veggies, or air fryer diced potatoes. If want a cooler, less spicy dip, try this greek yogurt dill dip.

This mayonnaise-free sauce pairs well with black bean lentil burgers, air fryer butternut squash fries and sweet potato black bean bowls.

Why You'll Love This Recipe

  • This recipe for sriracha sauce is similar to a sriracha aioli, but it's made without any eggs or mayonnaise.
  • It so versatile and can be used as a sauce, spread or dip for salads, sandwiches, tacos, veggies and more!
  • You only need 5 minutes to make this simple recipe.

Ingredients Notes

Ingredients for greek yogurt sriracha sauce.
  • Greek yogurt - I like to use full-fat greek yogurt but you can use low-fat as well.
  • Sriracha - use your favorite brand of sriracha. My absolute favorite is Melinda's Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce.
  • Maple Syrup - this adds additional sweetness that balances out the tang and tartness of the Greek yogurt.
  • Garlic - one clove of minced garlic adds a nice little kick!

See recipe card for quantities.

Substitutions & Variations

  • Citrus - add in a tablespoon of lemon, lime or orange juice for a brighter flavor.
  • Rice vinegar - add in about ½ tablespoon of rice vinegar for an asian inspired flair.
  • Dairy-free - swap in plain, dairy-free yogurt to make this recipe vegan.
  • Honey-sriracha - you can use honey or agave in place of maple syrup if desired.
  • Spices - feel free to add in garlic power, onion powder, parsley, cayenne pepper or smoked paprika for additional flavors!

Storage

Store sriracha yogurt sauce in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days. Enjoy it served cold.

I do not recommend freezing greek yogurt dips.

Top tip

If possible, use a grater or microplane to grate the garlic. Breaking it down into small pieces will help distribute the flavor throughout the dip!

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use non-fat Greek yogurt?

Yes you can swap in non-fat or low-fat Greek yogurt. Make sure to taste and adjust seasonings as needed to help balance out the flavors.

Can I make this recipe vegan?

Yes, feel free to use dairy-free plain yogurt in this recipe. Vegan yogurt tends to be thinner in consistence than Greek yogurt so the sriracha dip will spread more.
