This simple miso tahini sauce only takes 5 minutes to make! The tahini sauce is sweetened with maple syrup which balances out the salty miso and nutty tahini. It is the perfect addition to grain bowls, healthy salads or roasted veggies! Additionally, this sauce is vegan and nut-free!

My favorite way to use this miso tahini dressing is on my roasted root vegetable bowl. It completely brings all the flavors together! It also pairs well with a beet and butternut squash salad.

Tahini is a condiment commonly used in middle eastern and mediterranean cooking. It is made from toasted sesame seeds which are ground into a paste. It's also often added to hummus such as caramelized onions hummus or buffalo hummus to contribute to the overall consistency and flavor of the dish. Tahini also has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

  • Water - this helps dilute the dressing to achieve the idea consistency.

Tips and Tricks

  • Tahini separates in the jar (similarly to natural nut butters). Mix it well in the jar before measuring out the amount needed.
  • I recommend using warm water when mixing up a batch of this sauce. I think the warm water helps it mix together quicker.
